Be ye angry and sin not let not the sun go down upon your wrath”
“Neither give place to the devil” Eph4:26-27
Are Christians permitted to get angry? Is there anything as a Holy anger? Yes! As long as our anger doesn’t give place to the devil.
If your anger results to the salvation of men from the hold of Satan in any form then it’s Holy and acceptable before God.
God gets angry “ God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked everyday” Ps7:11 “The anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses” Ex4:14
Jesus was angry “’And having made a lash a (whip of cords), He drove them all out of the temple both the ship and the oxen-spilling and scattering the brokers’ money and upsetting and tossing around their trays” Jn2:15
Apostle Paul got angry “And while Paul was waiting them at Athens, his spirit was grieved and roused to anger as he saw that the city was full of idols” Acts17:16
Apostle Peter got angry “But Peter said to him, Destruction overtake your money and you, because you imagine you could obtain the free gift of God with money; You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is all wrong in God’s sight” Acts8:20-21 .
In Matthew 23, we see Jesus speaking out against the spiritual rulers of His day. With a tone filled with anger, Love and compassion, He showed them how they have departed from God’s righteousness and truth. Jesus full of Love and Compassion spoke to them out of a pure heart. I cannot say I’m perfect, but this i know I share in the Lords grieve when deception, false doctrines and worldliness is taking over the church of God
Today, my spirit is grieved and angry because of the things I see in the house of God.
Am angry because of the idolatry in Gods house . When self has become the object of worship.
Am angry when those called to serve have become celebrities and are now being worshipped.
Am so angry to see Christians even the elderly becoming an object of abuse, misuse and ridicule in the hand of the so called gifted “Men of God” who are now overlords over God’s heritage
Am angry that the Christians’ call to make disciples is being exchanged for the building of large churches and business empires.
Am angry that the shepherds of God’s flock are more concerned about feeding themselves and not the flocks “Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; woe to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves ! should not the shepherd feed the flock? Ezek34:2
Am angry because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has degenerated into means of happiness, rather on righteousness. Every spiritual truth must be explained in such a way as to help people receive physical blessings from God.
Am so angry that modern Faith teachers have moved the believers focus off sound doctrine , worship, service,sacrifice and ministry to promised physical, financial and material blessings.
Am angry that today most Christians know no other type of prayer or petition apart from that their desires may be granted
Am angry at the Christian leaders whose greed has led them to manipulate and deceive God’s people of their money.
Am angry that Christian leaders use scriptures such as Malachi 3:8-11, 1Cor 16:1-2 and the like through scare tactics and manipulation to bring God’s children under bondage
Am further angered to see the prophets prophesy falsely and the priests bear rule by their means and God’s children love to have it so.Jer5:31
Am so angry that the Church has lost every sense of discernment and those who should speak out against these things are quiet for fear of persecution and isolation.
Am angry that the church has become so compromised, so worldly, and seeking to expand its numbers now appeals to the world and its ways in appearance, function worship and preaching.
Am angry that men who reduces God to the image of man while elevating themselves to the status of God are hailed as heroes of our Faith.
‘’And should I not punish them for this rebellion? Declares the Lord. Should I not avenge Myself on a nation such as this? A horrible and amazing thing has happened in the land; the prophets are liars telling the people only what they want to hear; the leaders deceive my people using false authority that I have not given them; and worst of all, the people wants it this way. But what will they do when the end comes, and they are still bound up with all this deception’’ Jer 5:29-31
To counter these lies and seduction in the Church, I’m confident God will do two things—
- He will raise prophetic voices that will warn God’s children .Though they might not be listened to, but they will be heard.
- In every place and time God will always raise and have a faithful remnant of believers who will listen and do God’s will.
I pray as you read this, God will open your eyes to the deception in the church today so you can stand for the truth.

As I read this post of yours, I found that it expresses what’s in my heart. People have sometimes told me I sound angry when dealing with the state of Christianity today. In response, I reply that indeed I am angry.
May God’s righteous anger move us always, perhaps we might save a few here and a few there.

And as regards being angry ,be glad and be encouraged if there are complains that you are. It’s a prove that the Spirit of your Lord rest on you.
Remember, Himself showed no less emotion to get the money changers out of His temple.
